Kisdata has continually held certificate number FM09956 ISO 9001:2000 certification as a BSI registered business from May 8th 1990, and TickIT was added to the certification in March 2000. The current certificate of registration certifies that Kisdata operates a Quality Management System which complies with the requirements of BS EN ISO 9001:2000.

TickIT is the Software Quality Management System as part of BS EN ISO 9001:2000, and covers for Product Development (OPEN ENTERPRISE), sales, software development lifecycle, software replication and support.

What exactly is ISO 9001 and why is it so important to our customers?

ISO 9001:2000 is an internationally recognized quality standard that is widely accepted as a comprehensive measure of a company's quality system. The International Organization for Standardization first published it in 1987. The standard was updated in 1994, and is available as a UK National Standard. A company becomes "certified" by submitting its quality system to an independent, accredited, third party auditor, who conducts an extensive on-site review, followed by periodic audits on an ongoing basis. Kisdata retains the services of BSI Management Systems.

The ISO 9001 quality standard applies to all aspects of Design, Development, Production, Installation, and Servicing of our products. Within these areas are requirements for contract review, purchasing, design, document control, process control, inspection, test, handling, packaging, training, customer service and other key parts of an effective quality system.

It is important to note that an ISO 9001 certification is specific to a site and to a product and service scope. All of Kisdata's services are included in this scope. As with all ISO 9000 certifications, it relates to the quality system used to produce these products, not the products themselves.
